You only need to re-register to vote if you have moved, changed your name or have not voted once in four years.
Absentee Ballot Tracker – The Secretary of State’s office has provided a new absentee ballot tracking tool.
- If you registered to vote on November 5th at your polling place, your voter registration information will not be updated immediately. Our staff will be working on the over 5,000 voter registration forms over the upcoming months. Please be patient. All votes were counted.
- 2025 Election Dates: Schools can use any election date for bonds or levies
- May 20, 2025 – Library and Highway District Commissioners
- Early voting will begin May 5 and continue through May 16, weekdays from 8-5.
- November 4, 2025 – Cemetery, Fire, Recreation District Commissioners, School Trustees, City Council and Mayor
- Early voting will begin October 20 and continue through October 31, weekdays from 8-5.
- May 20, 2025 – Library and Highway District Commissioners
- AS OF JULY 1, 2023 there are new requirements for voter registration. Whether registering to vote for the first time in Idaho or updating a name or address, proof of residence and photo ID are now required at the time of registration. Please see the Voter Registration tab for a list of acceptable documents.
- Pre-registering to vote – registration closes 24 days before an election. Election Day registration is available during early voting. You must have photo ID and proof of residence. If your current address is shown on your driver’s license, that is all you need. If your current address is not shown on your driver’s license, you need to bring something from the list of acceptable documents under the Voter Registration tab. You can check your voter registration status here.
- Early voting – Early voting begins three weeks before a primary or general election and two weeks before any other election. The last day for early voting is always the Friday before the election. The early voting center is located at Twin Falls County West, 630 Addison Ave. W, on the first floor. The early voting office is only open during early voting. If you need assistance any other time, please come to the Recorder’s office on the 2nd floor.
- Requesting a Mail-In Absentee Ballot- Request Deadline – Registered voters may submit by mail, fax (208-736-4182) or e-mail ([email protected]) a request for an absentee ballot to be mailed to them. Application for Absent Elector Ballot must be personally signed by the registered voter requesting the ballot. Application forms can be picked up at the County Clerk’s office at County West or downloaded here. Election laws do not provide for a ballot to be picked up by a family member or friend. The last day for an application for a mail-in absentee ballot to be received by the County Clerk is 11 days before any election at 5:00 p.m. Requests can be returned to the Recorder’s office by mail (TFC Elections, PO Box 126, Twin Falls, ID 83303), fax (208-736-4182) or email ([email protected]).
- Mail ballot return – The deadline to return mail ballots to the Clerk’s office is always 8:00 p.m. on election night.
