CITIZENS CONNECT PERMIT PORTAL AND/OR MAKE A PAYMENT

CURRENT ADOPTED FEE SCHEDULE

Starting September 1st, 2025, Twin Falls County Community Development Services will be instituting a new fee schedule to help cover the costs of running the CDS Department. This new fee schedule includes the expiration of the collection of a refundable deposit at the time of application and the instating of a plan review fee. This plan review fee will be 35% of the building valuation fee. The fee is to cover the cost of reviewing and approving the submitted building plans for construction. This fee is not refundable once a plan review has been completed.  Building valuations have increased slightly.

For the Zoning side of the fee schedule, fees for CAFOs have had to be increased to cover the cost of time allotted for each permit and the addition of fees for Large Scale Wind & Solar projects, Small Scale Wind & Solar projects, Agrisolar projects, as well as Permitted Personal Wind & Solar projects.

**NOTICE TO ZONING APPLICANTS**

Twin Falls County Code 8-6(A-F) is limited by Idaho Code § 67-6521(a) and the Idaho Supreme Court’s Gardiner v. Boundary County decision. 148 Idaho 764, 767 (2010). Only conditional uses that are “permitted by the terms of the ordinance” may be granted conditional use permits. The types of uses that may be conditionally permitted are specifically listed in the Twin Falls County Code. Uses that are not listed in the ordinance will not be approved.

When making an application to Planning and Zoning for a Public Hearing, the application must be complete before the application can be scheduled for a public hearing. When more than eight (8) applications are received within a month, your request could be moved to the next available month. It behooves the applicant to complete the application fully and return it as soon as possible.

The Planning and Zoning Commission meets on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 6:30 pm at the Twin Falls County West Building in the Planning & Zoning meeting room.
