Friday, June 28th
Hello Jurors,
Thank you for checking on your jury service. This message contains your instructions for the week of July 1st – 5th.
The courts will be closed on Thursday, July 4th in observance of the holiday.
Just a few things for you to keep in mind when checking on your service for the month:
All jurors must go through a Security screening and check in process. Please give yourself 5-10 minutes additional time for that. Court cannot start until ALL jurors arrive, so it is important that you are in your seat and ready to go at the time you are listed to appear. Please be courteous to your fellow jurors by arriving on time!
Unless previous arrangements have been made, always call or check the website every weekend for the month. Additionally, check back the night before any scheduled appearance for updates. (Sometimes trial start times are changed or cancelled the day before so it is very important to check before arriving so that you can be informed of these changes.)
Failure to appear for a scheduled trial can result in a $500 fine and/or 5 days in jail.
If you are unavailable for any date in July, you must let me know at least a week in advance. Please do not wait to see if your number is called for that day before reaching out. I cannot excuse you once you are placed on a trial.
If you see that your number is called for a date that you previously asked to be excused, or outside of a specific schedule that you set with me, DISREGARD it. Your number simply may fall within the range that is called for that trial, but your name will not be on the roll call sheet that morning.
